Slight of hand.
Jump off the end,
into a clear lake,
no one around.
Just dragonflies fantasized.
No one gets hurt.
Done nothing wrong.
Slide your hand.
Jump off the end.
The water’s clear
and innocent.
The water’s clear
and innocent.
Slight of hand.
Jump off the end,
into a clear lake,
no one around.
Just dragonflies fantasized.
No one gets hurt.
Done nothing wrong.
Slide your hand.
Jump off the end.
The water’s clear
and innocent.
The water’s clear
and innocent.
maybe fly into his eyes?
great work on the lyrics though.
wait, i don’t really hear “fly into his eyes” anymore… flyin to sides? that is silly, no?
i wonder
flying to the side?
I heard flying to the side, then I soured on the idea, and now it sounds like flying to the side again…haha…Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. Anything else you have, send it my way, I’ll update as I receive!
That’s what I’m thinking now…
It actually sounds like “flying to the sun” to me
This is by far my favorite song on the new album…Thanks for all the lyrics btw.
I think it is competing with little by little for me, but I agree, it is quite amazing…very ethereal like Pyramid Song…Also, you’re welcome. Any thoughts on this missing lyrics, let me know!
i Think it’s “Flying to the sun”
Flying to the sun?
Downloaded “King of Limbs” this morning and while “Codex” was playing I received a call telling me my father had died. The two are now connected forever. A search for the lyrics brought me here and after reading them, they seem strangely appropriate.
Thanks for posting.
My thoughts are with you and your family. I think it is natural that we intertwine poems and songs with experiences. They really hit home. http://www.poetryfoundation.org/archive/poem.html?id=175771
My friend recently lost his father and I remembered this poem from a reading I saw. Maybe it is too soon, but maybe you will find something from it. Pax.
Wow im not sure what else to say thats heavy…..i lost my dad last year
You just broke my heart. I am SO sorry.
There are a thousand ways that this song could be looked at. It’s like an abstract painting of someone jumping off of a rock into a serene lake, a very summery, peaceful scene. This song paints a beautiful picture in the mind.
that is exactly how I see it
Beautiful song.
I think it’s
Just dragonflies, fantasized
it’s Fantasize not flying …
“Fantasize”
The lyric is “Just dragonflies, fantasized”……..I am quite sure!

Dont know if you guys noticed, but since I’m using some studio headphones, I can hear at the end there is backwards recorded speaking at the end of Codex and beginning of Give up the Ghost when its making that whirley sound. Someone definitely needs to play this backwards lol..
Muy bonito compartir! Estoy realmente obtener mucha ayuda de este blog.
- Fly into the sun.
Jumping into a lake is the better option.
Instead of “flying to the side”, it sounds like “fanticide” … that would so fit Thom Yorke.
This song is absolutely beautiful. But i’m afraid it’s about committing suicide. Just listen to it…
X
no, its about dying but not psychically. The waters clear and innocent, its going to wash away the heavy burden of self of the narrrator. He’s weary of life
alot of radiohead songs sure sound like suicide in some way, i think they are voicing the agony of a dying society
